Ellen G. Casey has concentrated her legal career in the areas of medical malpractice and professional liability defense litigation. In this capacity, she has taken a considerable number of major cases to trial and achieved a significant number of defense verdicts and verdicts or resolutions at trial substantially below the settlement demands.

Over her 23 years in practice, Ellen has represented a large number of physicians and hospitals, including serving as in-house counsel at the University of Pennsylvania Health System and representing the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in litigation.

Ellen is a graduate of Rosemont College. After working in Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., in the area of research and government contract management, she attended Villanova University School of Law, obtaining her Juris Doctor's degree in 1985.

In addition to litigation, Ellen has been involved in patient care and health care issues, as well as lecturing to medical staff on these and other medical-legal topics.
